The Lodge is situated on 146 acres of private Caribbean rainforest, just a boat ride from Tortuguero National Park. Tortuguero is a product of its rivers, and thus so too is Tortuga Lodge & Gardens. The lodge is designed to blend into both the river and the jungle. The open air restaurant, the naturally purified pool and the hammocks draped throughout the grounds all meld smoothly into the water flowing endlessly past. So smoothly that it will quickly become difficult to imagine one without the other.
